With the draft done and Miller still not traded, and presuming they still want a 1st rounder as one of the assets in return if traded, then they've just lost one year in development. Canucks taking a big chance if they keep him until next year's trade deadline. They could be asking too much, maybe not as many interested teams as we're lead to believe.

They actually draft someone with the same name as Elias Pettersson..
And with the 80th pick in the 2022 draft the Vancouver Canucks are proud to select from the elite Swedish meatball league. Elias Pettersson :wtf: :shifty: oh wait somehow our 2017 drafting chart got in here.
Oh what the heck we drafted 2 Sedins so why not.

Yah my thoughts too Gimps l had heard there was a trade with the Islanders that almost happened perhaps it involved JT. We'll never know eventually we'll hear down the road. But your correct don't pull a past management and wait till later his value is tops right now not next year,
We've been down that road before.

Absolutely amazing highlight reel skipper Gumpers l remember afew of those but there were so many it's difficult to remember all of them however l was surprised the OT goal against the Lames game 7 in 94 was not #1. I must say that one goal against the NY Islanders Molgilny was in the shot wasn't that the game or road trip Bure blew his knee out l'll have to google it.
When we picked up Mogilny l thought for sure the cup was ours that year.
I remember in Mid March 2000 in Buffalo when Naslund was injured out for the year and playoffs Knee too l believe.

^ Bure was one of the most exciting players to ever play the game. I think it was Dick Irvine who started watching hockey in the 1940s who said there were five players so exciting that they got you out of your seat in anticipation just by starting a rush up the ice: The Rocket, Bobby Hull, Bobby Orr, Guy Lafleur, and Pavel Bure. Of course, since Bure there has been McDavid.

Back in the day Glace growing up in Vancouver at the Kerrisdale arena we had nifty shifty Gumps tearing it up.
Of course he settled on walking since transit was never on time, took a wrong turn and rest is history.

A little off topic. What do you think will Ovechkin beat Gretzky's record eventually?

He can't get tossed since he can't even enter the states in the first place, per their border requirements.

Now if he was able to get into the states, following which get banned... that would constitute getting tossed from the tournament.
