The coach (John Herdman) has repeatedly stated his wish to take the match to teams and not play defensively. So barring any surprises, I'd expect the team to try and play an offensive game and try to maintain as much possession as possible. It's a bold strategy that could obviously go wrong, but the team has showed (ever since qualifying began) the ability to adapt on the fly, even switching between a couple formations during the game.

Where I could see this strategy change potentially is if the best midfielder (Stephen Eustaquio) is missing. He's the most important player in the entire team, balancing/connecting the defense with the attack and a huge help on the possession side of the game -- this was notably lacking in the games without him.

Instead of 2 flops and a dud (Virtanen Juolevi Podkolzin). I realize Pods is still young but he seems to be lacking hockey IQ,especially in the offensive dept but maybe he just lacks the skill.
Coulda shoulda woulda skipper also references our winter. :x If the high had shifted it Coulda pulled artic air down, it shoulda snowed but it warmed up to quick and the snow woulda stuck if it wasn't February. :x

Our best chance imo is surprising teams by Playing on the front foot and hopefully finding an early lead, making them take chances and then capitalizing on the counter attack. If we can get a lead with Milan borjan back there, anything is possible.

Agree completely.

Unfortunately Borjan has got a bit of an error-prone reputation over his career, however if he shows the sensational form he was in during the November 2021 and January 2022 international match windows we got nothing to worry about... it'll be down to the attack, which is strongest part of the squad, especially with their pace and ability to stretch the pitch.
