And Santa brings gifts to all the good boy's and girl's and animals, Hawk, Hounder, Goosed.

Sadly, Monty posted a map on the AF that looks like the polar vortex is taking a beating shrinking big time. Kinda like when you stand outside in the cold too long. (guy's would understand) :wtf: :shifty:

A weak polar vortex can be good if blocking is favourable. That’s what happened last February

That’s like a 6-7000ft snow level.

I've been surprised at the lack of calls for winter cancel so far this year, we must be growing wiser in our old age. and with recent history as proof winter's not over at the end of November.

Well we had a decent start to fall and fairly chilly at times. Sadly, the ridging has established itself in a sad location. Nito likes it and to be honest with you, I'm enjoying a dry November as I prepare myself for shocking cold and snow in December

Hey the models are trending drier with a stronger west coast block. That's a win!

00z GFS wet. This would be a normal late november pattern. Its likely an outlier but the models are flip flopping a bit. 06z and 12z way drier. Ensembles drier but they aren't totally dry.

It's not in France but in Italy (Madonna di Campiglio, 1500m and up).

That being said, this is not exceptional both in France and in Italy to see that in mid-November at these altitudes.
