For those interested, gonna drop a few verses here again. Wrote this one after noticing out the corner of my eye that I disturbed a crow's lunch by driving past it.

Monsters

Sometimes I wonder what a crow thinks cars are
Maybe lumbering beasts which sputter and growl
Down sunbaked pathways rampage and prowl
Because the spindly two-legged creatures
Are parasites which have taken them over
And getting out leave them with hangovers
Which they nurse stock still in their flocks

Sometimes I wonder what a squirrel thinks power poles are
Maybe oddly bald trees which crackle and buzz
With nothing to wave and rustle because
Those dang spindly two-legged creatures
Have stripped them bare and pared them down
And hung strange harvests on their crowns
Affixed with thorny looking acorns

Sometimes I wonder what a moth thinks lamps are
Maybe tiny bright moons which flicker and hum
Light so attractive they become sticky like gum
When a spindly two-legged creature
Creeps ever closer while holding in hand
Something shaped like a web with fiery strands
And with a clap arrives a zap

Sometimes I wonder what they think we are

Absolutely insane Bell Media selling off some t.v. stations and shutting down some radio stations across Canada some good journalists let go as well.
Wow l remember growing up CTV then CHAN 8 in Burnaby was the go to for local news @ 6 Tony Parsons, Pamela Martin Wayne Cox with weather or Fred Latremouille, the list goes on and on sports with Bernie Pascal or Barry Houlihan and of course Norm Grohmann.

Corporate media has destroyed the media landscape in both radio and TV. CRTC is to blame at allowing them multiple ownership's of outlets.

Look at how well CHEK 6 is doing on the island as an employee owned business. They are actually hiring people while others are firing. CHEK is doing pretty good and it's rating back it up.

Yes agree Sniffman as a kid growing up l would always be trying to tune into U.S. radio just for the more variety. Up here it was too restricted l learned early but l still tuned in for local news and weather and some programming l would tune into 92.9 KISM Bellingham they were like CKLG or CFUN but less talk.
Then when KISM went to classic rock, K-104 Bellingham which was country flipped to KNWR Northwest Rock Top 40 they were a good format as well.
At home l discovered cable FM in the late 70's lots of Seattle stations on cable, radio was fun back then when you had choices now it's all streaming for me and still local radio for news and sports.

U.S. had alot of automated FM stations back in the day sniffaroma man you could almost say A.I. before it's time.
They did well saved bucks on live announcers KNWR was one sounded good same with KISM before they switched to Album rock.
Seattle FM stations changed formats like dirty boxer shorts  of course state side wasn't restricted like up here with our cancon garbage.

Yes and you had the new rocker 93 KUBE FM 92.5 KZAM FM l quite liked as well. KING FM has been classical for years KISW and KZOK didn't change you have good knowledge there of the radio scene Sniffs.

Very true 101. Radio has it's place, especially when the net goes down and you have no access.

Emergency radio will always be essential.

Nowadays tho when there's a natural disaster or emergency it gets sent to your smartphone/tablets.
