EC radar showing that something is brewing for Western Metro Vancouver. Probably will see flurries intensify in some areas.

Abby_wx wrote: Tue Dec 20, 2022 12:43 pm Looks like my storm total was 27 cm. I took a couple dozen measurements ranging from 24 cm to 30 cm, but the median and average were about 27 cm. The front yard had 3-4 more cm than the back.

You guys who don't have very much wind are lucky. That picture from Sardis that Hound posted looks like a nightmare to measure. You can hardly even ballpark that.

Yes. Difficult with winds. I had a clean truck box at 6pm yesterday as I got home. This morning it had 34cm. Backyard had 36cm of new. Total 38cm ground cover. Drive to bradner and there is already some bare spots due to wind.

Hard to distinguish if this a surface low forming over the Strait or post frontal streamers (snow squalls) being carried by the upper level flow.

How they affect the lower mainland? Both mean more snow for us or the other way?
