I can recall in past years when l lived in Vancouver Hope still reporting snow 2 day's after the fact it had turn to rain.
The other thing that irks me is no actual official observation station for Chilliwack which in all honesty is a complete joke, Abbs and then nothing until Hope insane just insane Chilliwack airport is the perfect spot for a 24/7 station.

Chilliwack had one for over a century. Closed in 2014 I believe.

I wonder where it was located? and nothing took it's place not even an auto station.
Back in the summer l had emailed the airport manger about there auto station l could see set up off the freeway in the field at the airport.
On their website they had a page for current temp. ect.. but it was blank.
He had told at the time the station was being removed it wasn't working properly and that they were working with the city on putting in a new station so of course six month later yeah right, l should e mail back to see the progress.
I mean what is there thinking weather stops after 2014, Abbs to Hope is a long haul between weather observations, sure PWS and road cams are great but ou need eyes on the sky. IMO.

Well, as we prepare to bid farewell to our winter weather, I have to say it's been better than most; the snow stayed on the trees, because of a lack of wind. The lack of wind made it pleasant to walk, even at -9 and the snow was dry and a pleasure to walk in. True we've had colder temps before and true, we've had deeper snow, BUT this has been awesome!!!
