I'm surprised they don't have an icon for ice pellets.

Look at this! They've gone wild with the rain stamp. :( For everyone who wanted rain, fill your boots.  (Weird saying but quite applicable in this case)

Michael1 wrote: Thu Dec 22, 2022 11:56 am Well, as we prepare to bid farewell to our winter weather, I have to say it's been better than most; the snow stayed on the trees, because of a lack of wind. The lack of wind made it pleasant to walk, even at -9 and the snow was dry and a pleasure to walk in. True we've had colder temps before and true, we've had deeper snow, BUT this has been awesome!!!

Totally agree, the trees are still covered with snow here and it's been beautiful and interesting clouds and the sun even showed up yesterday. I'm not complaining about this winter.

Could someone do me a favor and post the euro precip maps for the 26th-27th period? We're supposed to drive to Kelowna then but it's looking dicey on the other models.

I don't really post, but I'm a longtime observer of the forum (I guess I am an introvert offline AND online!), but I really wanted to chime in here and say that this past week has been amazing.

Fingers crossed that whatever happens over the next couple of days doesn't cause mayhem, and no one gets hurt!

Thanks for chiming in. What an incredible treat for us. Maybe short lived but a truly memorable event. And looking back it was a model ride to end all model rides, yeesh. Glad we got the payoff!
