Snow in Nov-Dec-Jan-Feb-March

 You could say whoever input the info into the AI is not so intelligent.
Unless we're talking about a mind of its own then all bets are off.

So let's have a look at how the furry critters did today on grounding day.
Well in B.C. Okie the stuffed 😋 marmot in Vernon.
Didn't move so who knows, Alberta didn't report in. In Ontario Wiarton Willy happily predicts an early spring.
Fred in Quebec died during hibernation so unfortunately no spring/summer this year l guess.
Nova Scotia Sam says early Spring and Pux in the U.S. say 6 more weeks of winter.

It was cloudy this morning, so the slug did not get frightened by the sun, fear drying out, and retreat back underground. It will be rainy and damp until July.

Had the slug seen the sun this morning, there would be an early start to the summer dry season.
 Gross Rubes at least it's real and not that fake stuffed toy Okie they use in Vernon.

looks like its pretty much a wrap except for some possibly sloppy snows. Bring on the daffodils and 16-17c sunny days! YESSSSS
GFS says a little snow on Feb 19. Only 16 days away! Tell em Nito!!

What a sad "La Nina" winter. 3 years in a row and not much to be excited about. Very "ordinary" winters at best. I guess thats all we can expect in this new climate at best.
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++ 8-)

- Tmin of -14 at YVR and over 100 consecutive hours below -5
- widespread 25-40 cm of snow from a single storm
- generally 50-80 cm of snow for the season for forum members
- epic Christmas season last year as well
- 2 years in a row where peak snow depth reached 30 cm for many/most of us

But sure, tell me there wasn't much to be excited about.
2025-26 season stats:
Climo :cancel: ∞ to 0.5 :14clown: GFS

Season total: 0.5 cm and TWO traces!
Peak depth: 0.5 cm (01/07/2026)
