I don't know what your condition is like but I sure hope and believe there is a way it can be improved and even cured. I'm taking some pretty drastic steps for my own self, specifically prolonged fasting with a fasting coach to give the body a complete reset. It seems to work for other post COVID sufferers, hopefully it can deliver similar results to me.

Maybe there's something out there that can help your case that doctors simply don't think of because western medicine as incredible as it can be, does not understand chronic illnesses one iota.

Don't let the pain or fatigue become you, you are so much more than that.
So sorry you've been struggling with your health also. It's awful. My situation is complex and I have numerous diagnoses that include Hashimoto's Thyroiditis, Atrial Fibrillation, Medullary Sponge Kidney Disease, Interstitial Cystitis, Endometriosis and a vestibular/neurological disorder. This is what western medicine has told me but like you said, they really don't have any clue how to help other than treat the symptoms and I personally feel like a long exhaustive list like this aren't individual diseases/disorders but rather the symptoms of a larger picture. Sometimes I think whatever is wrong with me doesn't even have a name.

I am trying and have tried all kinds of modalities for treatment and continue to try many different avenues to improve. I have had genetic testing done though and I definitely have some genetically weird stuff going on so again, maybe there isn't an actual name for what I've got happening...this is just me. In any case, I am striving to make peace with what IS, as I have started to discover upon self reflection that a lot of my mental struggles stem from me trying to change things dramatically rather than bloom where I am planted. Does that make sense? I am trying to remain more in the present rather than trying fix my future or ruminating on the past. I've been fighting health issues for 23 years now and I think I need to learn how to simultaneously explore treatment options while also accepting what IS right now and accepting it. Hope that makes sense.

I hope your fasting plan helps you get to feeling better. I am wishing you success. Let me know if it helps you. You got this!

Anyway, sorry for the novel, it's really hard to explain all of this in a few short sentences. And thanks to you all for your support and kind words. I really do appreciate it a ton.

And now, back to weather! Besides whatever weather excitement we have coming our way, I am also sooooooo looking forward to Daylight Savings Time. I feel so much better during the longer and lighter days.

:alert: :alert: Winter Storm Alert!! :alert: :alert:

Saturday & Sunday Snow Storm

Saturday will bring widespread snow to the region and as the day turn to night the snow will intensify. Overnight into Sunday morning will see high snowfall rates which could deliver 10 to 20CM across the region with up to 30CM at higher elevations or along the mountain slopes. Most areas should see 20CM. Snow should remain failing into Sunday as it changes over to flurries where a few more CM may be possible inland and at higher elevations. still a bit of uncertainty but models seem to be coming into agreement towards the cooler and snowier solutions. Fraser Valley will have strong winds so expect blowing snow and blizzard like conditions in Chilliwack and Agassiz. There may be slightly less accumulation in the Valley due to blowing and drifting snow and the general dry air preventing the snow from getting a decent start early.

The coming week looks like late Feb trying to be early Feb. It's going to be all over the place. Many chances for more flurries and snow and possible showers and clear breaks with a hard freeze.

March looks um, odd. Another Arctic outbreak looks to be brewing. It's like Feb forgot to come to the party and now want in in March. We shall se what happens. It seems we could be in for at least 3 more weeks of winter type winter for the coast.

Snowfall Warnings will be up tomorrow.

You know you have a fan club here always Mrs. Bugs. 🙏 always remember the laughs we all had at the expense of weather and came out of it better, never let it defeat you.

It's all good. You can talk to us about it anytime.
The honest truth is we all really miss you here. Even though we are all just mostly faceless posters on a forum, we have all been here together for several years so in some strange way, we are a somewhat dysfunctional weather family, that if one day this forum disappeared, we would kinda all be sad. So everyone here is important in our own way. You have been missed, and even though you are suffering with your health issues, we hope you can pop in even to say hi so we know you are doing ok. :danespin:
Hope you find answers and feel better!

tyweather wrote: Thu Feb 23, 2023 8:15 pm From now on we should refer to the upcoming snow event as snowstorm HUGH.
Actually it’s not a bad idea to name all the major or HUGE snow storms officially so that people can remember them many years after, such as hurricane Katrina, Fiona etc. If this upcoming one turns out to be an epic and dumping 30 cm of snow over the week, I bet all of us will remember snowstorm Hugh in many years.
