So we in Richmond and south Delta are not being invited to the party?
we got the general CYA (because EC screwed up the last 13456 times) snowfall warning, no actual call out for Richmond and S Delta.
if we get anything above 5 cm
I'll be pleased.

This snowfall has over performance written all over it. Outflow has died down dew point very low.
And yet, my soccer game is still on for Saturday night
They’re “waiting to see if it snowsâ€Â.

No. Three more. At least.
And a record-breaking last measurable snow on April 24th.
And a slushfall on May 3rd.
We already look pretty sure to have a winter season with snow every month from November to March, inclusive. Five straight months with snow.
I wonder how often that’s happened in the past. Also wonder if there are any seasons with six or even seven snowy months (it can snow in October and April).
It's called clown range for a reason.

Btw we are still virtually assured another modified arctic outbreak unless things collapse. This one has such a north south gradient it's hard to imagine not getting something good.

About an hour ago there was an explosion downtown, on Hastings and Burrard, a block from my work. In the office we heard a bang, felt maybe a small shockwave, then the lights flickered.
Over the next half hour or so a steady stream of emergency vehicles paraded in. By the time I left, police had cordoned off a large section between Cordova and Pender. I saw a fire at street level which firefighters were attempting to put out. More emergency vehicles were arriving. Ambulances with stretchers were on scene.
Transit was a mess as Waterfront had closed, and they were single-tracking a shuttle train between Vancouver City Centre and Olympic Village stations.
Cause unconfirmed but rumour online is gas leak explosion.
What a day.
