Someone on SE Vancouver island is probably gonna get 15-25cm. Looks like the heaviest band could pivot north of here though. Probably Nanaimo. Deformation band could lead to some very heavy snow tonight. Would not be surprised if our snowfall warning gets extended to the lower mainland later on.

Update: More maps now out, and what is being snow below is about as much as we get.

The grumbling on the AF this morning is what led me to look at Weatherbell for good news.
It's called clown range for a reason.

The 50-100 mile last minute shift north on these things is almost inevitable unless you have a new push of arctic air suppressing the storm track.

I don’t see that option listed. Do you know where WB hides those maps?

It's the hrdps 10 km map. I think it might just be a lower Rez hrdps version but I could be wrong?

Another thing the models seem very consistent on is that tomorrow’s snow will be a west-focused thing. Sorry, Sardineman.

It’s just listed as RDPS and not rgem on some sites.

There are already :14clown: maps showing another snowfall this weekend. My guess is he will segue to hyping those.
