I plotted the maximum from each month and put in 33 for this month for Agassiz. It looks like we are due for a hot one. Looks like the trendline of extreme temps have been pretty steady since 1990, which is surprising.

The 00Z GEM shows borderline extreme heat next weekend. Probably overdone but would be very impressive if Abbotsford hits 37C this early in the season. The record is 36C on May 29th 1983 so this weekends event is a couple weeks earlier. Not impossible but I'm skeptical.

In my opinion, 33-34C would be a more realistic solution.

The late May 1983 heatwave was a beast. Temps also peaked around 35-36c in eastern Metro Vancouver. Even YVR cracked 30c, and Burnaby mountain had a extreme high low of 24c.

Ah man l remember that Thot, living in Coquitlam down by North Rd. and Lougheed in a hot 2nd floor apartment man that was brutal. Wasn't this the year Dec 83 when the forecasted snowfall warning for Christmas eve never happened we discussed this before.
Can't forget the B.C.Lions lost to the Toronto Argonauts at B.C. Place 18 - 17 that was a disappointing year. TBH
