Same. I was thinking of playing goalie for the Canucks so they can win the cup, but I'm in my 40s now, and wouldn't be able to win rookie of the year, so what's the point?

:lol: Glace that's insane but doable can't be any worse then David Ayres the zamboni driver that donned the pads for the Carolina Candy Canes in Feb. 2020 in an emergency back up relief and made 8 saves to help defeat the Laffs 6 - 3.


David Ayres (/eɹz/; born August 12, 1977) is a Canadian former professional ice hockey goaltender and current head coach of the Port Perry Lumberjacks of the Provincial Junior Hockey League. Ayres is also the oldest NHL goaltender to win his regular season debut.

Reffing dropped the ball in that one. Roy should've been sent to the box with a high sticking double minor towards the end of the third period.

Meh. A couple missed calls doesn't change that VGK were the superior team, specifically 5v5. And got far better goaltending in the last two games. The oilers needed powerplays but they don't always materialize in the playoffs, see canucks 2011.

The main issue is it's a reoccurring theme for the golden knights... see the bias when they played the canadiens in the playoffs back in 2021.

The officiating was garbage, but alas not the reason they lost. They took some pretty dumb penalties that killed any momentum they had at 5 on 5.

However, I do agree with Typeing man, overall and across the board, the officiating has been sub par.
