Yeah there's patchy smoke here in Kamloops from that fire to the south of the city with a bit of ash too -- smoke was really visible around Savona on hwy 1 earlier this afternoon looking east towards Kamloops.

T3 was born to be wild , every summer lookin for adventure, venturing down the highway in the sunshine , with the free wind blowin' through his hair , he's gotta have fun and ride like the wind , before his daddy takes the T-bird away.
I wonder if we're pre-conditioned to like that smell because it signals the end of a long dry spell and that was a good thing in terms of food availability and survival etc.
2025-26 season stats:
Climo ∞ to 0.5 GFS
Season total: 0.5 cm and TWO traces!
Peak depth: 0.5 cm (01/07/2026)
Happening now...
Squamish forecast to get 30-35mm of rain with this event. It looks like it could be locally more if they get the T-Storms that are forecasted as well
Looks like a much needed and proper pumbling of rain!
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++
