I notice last week someone posted Radar scope with Halfmoon Peak as their radar location.
When did that site come on line? anyone know is that the new site for up island coverage?
I guess l could Google it it's about time A.I. Canada added something new to the mix l find the Aldergrove radar coverage causes these lines or streaks for valley. It's weird looking especially on radar scope anyone notice that? I'll try Halfmoon peak.

Hopefully this will be a repeat. It's so fun when the forecast busts in the opposite direction and actually gives us what we want!
Boxing day snowstorm. That's when the Home Depot roof collapsed.

Here's the snow slowly moving in, down to see level over the straight now just past Galiano and Valdes Islands.

Yeah that's it better coverage for the valley it's not washed out with the lines. I guess the valley is too close to the site l don't know switch to the Aldergrove site and you'll see what l mean.
Other radar sites don't have that problem so l don't know what Radar Scopes issue is it's just l paid money for a peice of garbage that doesn't work properly those scoundrels.

2008 was fantastic; Brett Anderson of AccuWeather and our own EC had discounted any snow for the East Island, until it happened lol. Then we got 3 big snowfalls and I recorded a low of -18 on the 21st of December. Wonderful run of winter.
