Still around -1C in Abby and -2C at my place in Mission (though I'm currently at work in west Abby). Looking towards E. Abby, kinda looks like it's snowing there...

Yes, snowing lightly for last 10 minutes, will be taking the grandkiddies sledding/sliding...wish me luck.

Nothing here yet, temp is dropping slowly +0.4C but DP is -4.4C
hopefully we see something soon.

regarding snow days, at the risk of aging myself, Vancouver had a few in the early 70's.

I can recall 1 or 2 when my kids were in school but iirc, one was announced because they hadn't the week before when we got dumped on, so did it for a skiff of snow the next week, it was a weird reason :wtf:

imho, they did the snow day today anticipating chaos on the commute home.

Track of this low is not favourable for the Fraser Valley. Not enough moisture to overcome dry outflow before upper levels warm. Freezing rain will become a concern though later this evening and overnight. What a fun snow day yesterday. Maybe we can score another snowfall in February?
