After a high of -0.5C, my temperature is now dropping. Down to -0.9C now with a dew point of -6C. Moisture moving in. Once it changes to freezing rain, I expect some ice build up here. Could get very slippery on the roads and sidewalks, hence EC's freezing rain warning.

Looks like a run of the mill freezing rain event. Rainfall rates arent too heavy. Temps will moderate by the AM.

Yup. Now freezing rain is at our door step.Fortunately I am at +0.5C but the frozen ground will make it icy regardless.

SWS would of been fine for sure. They probably thought it wasn't worth it I guess

Still it doesn't take much to make at least the sidewalks slippery. But yes this doesn't look like a major crippling ice storm like December 2017.
