And there are more retired people than ever before, so there should be and ever growing audience. Of course, I just remembered that I had a professor who was previously working for a radio station in advertising. He said that it doesn't matter about the number of viewers , it matters how much money the viewers have. Retirees have no money because of inflation, so advertisers won't pay these days if there are retired people watching.

Problem ultimately was local independent News/Radio?TV have all been stripped away by those mega corps and a lot of garbage on those mediums is coming out of the east/Ontario. Nobody wants that. They want local, local that cares about the community.This is why the new CHEK TV is doing so well. Local ownership, high visibility in the community.

Look at local ownership over the years they know our market. CRTC has to go they've ruined media in Canada period.
