Yup, hit 34 today as well.
I'm done for heat now, let's cool off...
I'm going to install a snow making machine on Bono's and myself's yards to create a 'cool dome' effect around our homes.

Stay tuned but the long range might be shifting to a slightly troffy look. What this generally looks like in summer is a quick hittng upper level trough followed by more heat the next day but hey we'll take it. Could also be bogus and it shifts back to full on heat but I'm liking a drop to at least average temps as of now. That is, for 1.5 weeks in the future lmao.

Apparently ambulances were all over the streets in Kelowna. Seniors dropping like flies according to my dad. At 39.5 that is not a big surprise.

My Burnaby Station high temperature during this heat wave - https://www.wunderground.com/dashboard/ ... A8#history Location is west side of Burnaby Mountain mid way up.

July 6 - Saturday - 30.1.
July 7 - Sunday - 32.4.
July 8 - Monday - 32.3.
July 9 - Tuesday - 34.1.

I find that, as far as high temperatures, I end up pretty close to the Pitt Meadows official numbers - give or take 1 degree. Yesterday, Pitt Meadows was 34.2 - a 0.1 difference to me. FYI - in reference during the 2021 Heat Dome, our high temperature was 39.8.

As well, I work as a paramedic and I am still shocked at the number of residences that still do not have air conditioning. Those residences are pretty much unbearable, at least to me. Stay hydrated and cool out there.
