:alert: :flakey: Snow Alert :flakey: :alert:

Snow is coming! Possibly as early as Thursday night. A bit of warming on Friday, then back to snow on Saturday, is the current look. Thursday over higher elevations possible, with maybe 2cm. Friday is interesting. Right now it looks like rain, but if the wet bulb kicks in there may be snow at higher elevations like Burnaby, Coquitlam etc.Not sure yet what will happen. Flurries Saturday, Snow overnight into Sunday, possible snow chance on Monday. Weekend could see some nice accumulations. 10cm at least. Things are still too dynamic to call, so this may change at the last minute. However it seems the cold is being pushed up with each new model run which means cooler air infiltrating the lower mainland sooner. Arctic front will kick in Saturday night bringing outflow winds. Keep on the watch, things may change of course. EC may put up a special weather statement tomorrow if Thursday night looks good for snow, otherwise, they may not issue anything until Friday.

Question: will the outflow shred it apart for the eastern Fraser Valley or could we see some snow to?

Exactly always the million dollar question out here. But l've seen a raging outflow with a massive dump of snow and a painful outflow shredder.
I'm guessing the dynamics out here need to be perfect for a dump of snow with the Arctic fart, l'm hoping we get the cold/snow combo.

Difficult to answer yet. Winds don't look to be too harsh, and the spread of the systems seem to reach inland far enough so I'm going to guess yes, the Valley will see snow for sure, just not sure on the amounts.

I know it's the GFS but it sure seems locked in. Take these for your upset stomach:
