Nice to see several members from the past but unfortunately l think Skooks is lost in cyberspace. It's currently 4c @ the pond in south Sardis with gusty SW winds and light rain.

I realize the cold air doesn't arrive until later tomorrow night and Sunday, but i can't help feel that tonight's transition was a little anti climactic.

HRDPS and RGEM all the way. Not sure about the Euro but HRDPS nailed the last year big snowfall.
It was a great model 15-20 years ago, but very little has been done to improve it over the years. Other models have seen significant improvements over time.

Hawk wrote: Fri Jan 31, 2025 1:54 pm  I actually saw this before up there. It must have been about 30 years ago. Snowbanks on the sides of the roads (from plows) about 4-5+ feet high. Snow depth was around 3 feet  I thought i was in Mt Seymour parking lot in Feb, on a cold and snowy winter. Storm's area had about 16-20" at the same time on ground (I used to live there - another pretty good snowzone 8-)). May have been 1996, im not sure
My guess is that would've been either mid Feb 1990, early Jan 1991, or early Jan 1993.
