It started to rain overnight a little bit. We're almost at the Summer Solstice. It will be sad knowing that we are losing daylight but at least the Christmas lights are only a few months away ;)

I'm sorry, it's probably my fault, I just planted honeydew melons outside... :damn:  :icecu:

Is a low of 10 a record? Or is EC not showing it yet?

SWS dropped this morning for :flakey: on the higher passes tonight.
11:19 AM PDT Friday 20 June 2025
Special Weather Statement in effect for:

Coquihalla Highway - Hope to Merritt

Possible wet snow over high elevation highway passes.

What: Snowfall accumulations of trace to 4 cm.

When: Overnight to Saturday afternoon.

Where:
-Coquihalla Highway - Hope to Merritt
-Okanagan Connector - Merritt to Kelowna
-Highway 3 - Hope to Princeton via Allison Pass
-Highway 3 - Paulson Summit to Kootenay Pass

Additional information:
An upper disturbance will settle over southern British Columbia and bring widespread showers and a possibility of wet snow over the highway summits.

Because of the convective nature of the system, snow levels may temporarily lower to 1200-1600 metres as intense bands of precipitation move through. Snowfall accumulations will be highly variable depending on elevation. Trace to 4 cm can be expected tonight to Saturday afternoon.

Be prepared to adjust your driving with changing road conditions.

Weather in the mountains can change suddenly resulting in hazardous driving conditions.

Road conditions are available at drivebc.ca.

Please continue to monitor alerts and forecasts issued by Environment Canada. To report severe weather, send an email to BCstorm@ec.gc.ca or post reports on X using #BCStorm.
