Terrace is beautiful. Yes, it's in the ground zero region for biggest snows in urban areas in BC. Inland location in the Skeena river valley east of Prince Rupert, close to the ocean and near sea level but far enough north that access to arctic air is usually not an issue as it can easily get entrenched in the fjords and valleys throughout the region -- nearby Kitimat to the south and the Nisga'a villages to the north are in a similar boat. Couple that with strong systems coming off the pacific during the winter and it's a recipe for legendary snowstorms... heard all about them as my father grew up there. Would certainly be cool to experience.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Thu Jul 24, 2025 3:03 pm Terrace been through there Troad wouldn't mind actually residing there perfect location for dumps of snow fall arctic fart interacting with pacific systems.Cold air is always well entrenched and very slow to get scoured out there as well, lots of amenities there to live.

Went on my own local get away for two days to Harrison Lake checked out the museum there in Harrison. Saw 4 helicopters on different occasions with bucket drops flying out from Harrison Lake area but didn't see any smoke, temps Tuesday and Wednesday were in the mid 20's comfortable for a nice walk along the lake front Pic #1 & #2 Harrison museum map of Sasquatch sightings over the years with the latest #47 in August 2022 over by the marina in Harrison.

Re: July 2025 Forecasts and Discussion
You were out in my neck of the woods! We have a small forest fire up behind us in Harrison Mills. Was found on Wednesday afternoon and was caused by the lightning on Monday nights thunderstorm. Still showing as out of control. Helicopters have been going non stop on it so hopefully shows as being held very soon.SouthSardiswx wrote: ↑Thu Jul 24, 2025 4:29 pm Went on my own local get away for two days to Harrison Lake checked out the museum there in Harrison.
