The problem was not her advocacy, repulsive as I personally find it, which was done on her own time with her own dime.

The problem was that she did it WHILE CITING HER PROFESSIONAL CREDENTIALS AS A NURSE, which is a no-no.

This is clear if one reads the actual text of the disciplinary decision.

I have engaged in activism many times. I have always done so as a private citizen. I have never done so while citing my profession and/or employer. The idea never even occurred to me, it would be just so foolish, and so inviting of retribution from my employer (who might hold contrary opinions and resent my attempt to imply their endorsement for mine).
