Yes Jr i agree. A front loaded snowy winter would be nice for once, with the snowy ground providing a guiding light during the longest winter nights. I'll take anything from Dec 1 to Jan 15 for once :flakey: :flakey: :flakey:

Sidenote: Ontario was receiving a ferocious snowy beating yesterday afternoon  (Yes it was Nov 9)
:alert: December very sucks!

Results :14clown: :

5.2 mm Vancouver YVR
18-20 mm Coquitlam

The rain gauge on David Avenue definitely has a problem.

In recent times, Vancouver has had snow during the opening 10 days of November in 2022 and 2017.

Tons of potential for another very snowy winter for the Great Lakes region. You will probably see persistent phasing between the polar and southern jet in December. Looking like a textbook Nina split flow in Western Canada based on long range models. Potential for lowland snow exists when the pattern kinks but the extreme cold will slide  until January and February.

its ok Goose..we want higher than forecasted totals once the forecast is for precip in December, of the frozen white variety
which has actually happened many, many times recently iirc

15 cm like this and snow back-to-back days? Lol, I don't think so unless my memory is already failing me. I should have worded it better. I haven't seen snow and cold this early before on back-to-back days.

December looks primed for Ontario. I've seen this as the consensus online.

You didn't specify amounts but yes, we have had snow and cold on back-to-back days in early November.

This is wrong, once again with incompetent media. Oct. 21-22, 1981 in Toronto: 6.1 cm only.

Oct. 21-22, 1969: 12.4 cm.

Nov. 9-10, 2025: 11.4 cm.

As for the daily snowfall record... nothing could be more insignificant.
