As usual, Ensembles count for more than one rogue run. That's simply out of step with every ensemble at this point.

If anything, the problem will too far west.

Anyone know if the work done to mitigate future flood issues are working?

The City of Abbotsford also just indicated that the projected flood severity in the Sumas Prairie will be similar to the November 1990 flood.

Thankfully we should avoid a 2021 repeat but the 1990 flood was still a significant event. Not a good situation for all those affected.

It's making a tiny difference but you will probably see a big effort to build new developments in higher areas or prop up the infrastructure on mounds or stilts.

Flooding has always happened but the frequency may push insurance companies to no longer assume the risks in these floodplains.

Correct you can't really stop normalized flood plains.

That might be a top 10 day for them. It's not often you see Abby perform like that.

Totals from my manual gauge:

Tuesday: 12 mm
Wednesday: 83.9 mm
Thursday: 0.2 mm

Storm total: 96.1 mm

I believe this is my second biggest storm total since I moved to Mission.

The rain never got super heavy here. It was more like a very constant moderate rain. Obviously much worse out towards Hope and down in Skagit/Whatcom areas.
