By all accounts The lake came through with flying colors but the traffic going through Agassiz to highway 7 was a complete disaster today.

I can just imagine. That archaic highway isn't equipped to handle the traffic load at the best of times. Take it out of commission... yikes...

Yup no other choice with Highway 1 shut down all truck traffic had to take Highway 9 to 7 through Agassiz and Mission etc.

Long range outliers are always suspect, however the trend is our friend. Nice to see cooler temps finally coming. I expect true morning temps about 5-10 degrees warmer than this, but even that is still pretty decent.

Looks like a solid week of -30c or lower in Vanderhoof, dang I wish this cold period came when I am home. I also have to plan around when I drive. My vehicle, doesn't like it below -20c as a plug in hybrid. Last year I drove 10 minutes at -25c and every warning light possible came on. I parked it in the garage and let it warm up there and then disconnected the 12V and all the warning were gone.

Would be really nice... but we'll have to wait and see.

Encouraging signs/trends at least.

Will be nice to get more models on board though.
My money is on the models kicking the can down the road a bit as they often do. Cold snap and snow in the first half of January. (Hey, everyone always wishes for a good old fashioned January cold snap, just might get one this winter.)
It's called clown range for a reason.
