AbbyJr wrote: Wed Dec 24, 2025 8:12 pm Of course but some of the most dynamic and exciting winter weather in the PNW happened in the 50’s and 60’s. It was also much more common to see classic arctic blasts in the region during those years. We got January 1950, March 1951, January 1954, December 1956, January 1957, December 1968, and January 1969 as examples.

1962/63 wasn’t super cold but had multiple massive windstorms. Similar pattern occurred in 2006/07 but no windstorm has ever come close to the one on October 13th,1962, where Abby had gusts up to 145km/h. That was a top tier extreme wind event for the PNW region.
once in a lifetime event. Just like June 2021 and the 42-43c
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++ 8-)

Euro offers no help. If someone is lucky, they may catch some sloppy wet flurries. Port Alberni looks good, but they sit around 1000'. Squamish should hit something over the next few days. Catnip Hill?
Maybe someone will get lucky and catch some flurries on the exit Saturday, i dunno. Lets think positive..we dont have much this year to cheer for snow ..any snow
