once again, only 10-15 days away, but at least its only 10 days this time. Baby steps buttees for some slushfestivals upcoming  with higher sun angles
Looking forward to our first 3 day stretch of sun and 20c++ 8-)

Everyone knows my skepticism about March, but even late February can deliver. Have seen it happen many times. We shall see. I will take it seriously if the Euro comes on board and both then stay on board within day five.
It's called clown range for a reason.

Apparently a March anti-snow globe follows @Rubus around wherever he lives.

Some significant snowstorms (non-slush events) in late February during recent times. 2023, 2018, 2014, and 2011. It can happen!

It’s really close but the mechanism to drive it far enough south just isn’t materializing on the AIFS, aka the GOAT.

Cypress has managed fairly well to keep terrain open compared to Grouse. Grouse only has the peak chair and beginner areas by the chalet open. Cypress has both main chairs open, beginner chair and Sky chair open today. I see today that the blue run on Lions is now closed after this weekend's rain but it was open on Friday and there weren't any visible rocks/ bare areas. It's finally snowing again on the mountains today!

LONG TERM /WEDNESDAY NIGHT THROUGH SUNDAY/...
Ensemble guidance remains in strong agreement that the brief
break will indeed not last long, as the next disturbance will
already be approaching by late Thursday. This will bring another
round of precipitation chances, but with fairly good agreement
in the ensembles that the system will be focused well to our
south, this looks to preclude widespread impacts but just a
passing focus for additional precipitation (in the form of
lowland rain and mountain snow). Nearly all of the ensemble
members favor a deeper trough by the end of the weekend that
suggest a very high (>80%) likelihood of a colder and wet
pattern taking shape late in the weekend.

Looking good in the mountains at least. I want to ski at least once this season. Even cross country at Manning would be nice.

Not sure why Nito is down on the mountain snow pattern here. Looks good on the GOAT ensembles.
