Low of -2c in east Coquitlam this AM.
Shaping up to be a chilly next couple of days as the south coast will get clipped by a touch of modified arctic air settling into the interior. Could see some gusty outflow in the valley.

The ensemble runs keep the chances of a chilly zonal flow alive in the 10+ day range. Just terrible luck to get barely any Mountain snow the past week.

Re: February 2026 Forecasts and Discussions
That’s as of noon today. There are radar echoes popping up over western parts of the metro area, but they seem to be mostly virga, as some of those echoes are over MBY and it’s currently dry here. Edit: Just checked some highway cams and it looks dry in Delta and Richmond, too. Virga.
If that is going to materialize, those showers better get their *ss in gear and intensify pronto.

ECs forecast of 30% seems fair, as some rogue cells have been popping off overnight

Just went outside to pick up the paper. Light flurries falling and sticking in Dunbar.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Wed Feb 18, 2026 7:36 am That’s as of noon today. Re: February 2026 Forecasts and Discussions
Seeing a few flakes here now, but I’m also getting sunbreaks at times, to give some idea of how weak and thin the activity currently is. Hoping it intensifies. Would be fun to make a rare appearance on the AF and share a surprise score with them.

So I just want to note that the blob in the Strait did start to move inland because it is currently lightly flurrying in Coal Harbour

Some yellow and orange echoes are now popping up in the Strait and moving eastward. C’mon!

You can see the influence of the dry airmass aloft as the clouds overhead have been vanishing.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Wed Feb 18, 2026 8:10 am Some yellow and orange echoes are now popping up in the Strait and moving eastward. C’mon!
