Weather models are showing 100 cm of snow next week for the north shore mountains. Just days after the ski areas close for the season.

Mixed bag for the snow water basin index for BC with some areas at above normal in the north and east and central/north coast and some very low. Some stations in the south and west are at record low snow water equivalent and some are at record high as well in the Columbia, Rockies and Northern Rockies. The good news for Hydro power is that BC's largest reservoirs (Peace and Columbia) are above normal, which hasn't been the case the last few years.

That was a nice stretch. Could see some higher elevation wet flurries on Tues into Wednesday. Especially Westwood Plateau and Burnaby Mountain. :flakey:

NWS is on board for low snow levels down to 1500 feet mid week. But Nito told us first. Will Nito nail it again? He’s been making super solid predicts all winter
