What are our chances of getting out of the group stage?

Jesse Marsch (coach) said everyone bar Davies will be fit by the first game on June 12th. If so, I'd say a good chance.

We need to target at least 4 points to have a chance at progressing, imo. That would translate to one win and a draw. On paper that win should be over Qatar and the draw vs Bosnia. The game vs Switzerland is a free hit as they are clearly the superior team. Anything other than a loss from that game (provided we did the business against Bosnia and Qatar) should be viewed as a bonus.

Canada's first ever point at a world cup. A draw today was a bit disappointing considering we dominated the play, but the finishing was lacking, as has been typical with this team since the last world cup. Eustaquio captained the team as Davies is still out injured but hopeful he will be back for the next game.

Lots of positives to take into the next game vs Qatar on Thursday; I'd say we got a great chance of winning that one as more players get match fitness after being out with long term injuries.

Atmosphere at the Fifa Fan Festival at the PNE was great as well.

Incredible game yesterday as Canada won a game at the World Cup for the first time (and in emphatic fashion too!).

Atmosphere was electric inside BC Place.

One sad part though... Ismael Kone (best midfielder on the team) had his leg snapped in half by a tackle. Nathan Saliba came on as his sub, and scored soon after. He ran to the bench and raised Kone's jersey to the whole stadium as a tribute.

And it will be Canada v Morocco on Saturday in the Round of 16. Quite likely this is where the dream will end for us, but miracles can happen!

Regardless of the result, this tournament has been a resounding success for Canada (minus the injuries of course) and something to build on in the coming years.
