Extremely rare but they have occurred in the past. Wildfires at Harrision Lake and Chilliwack Lake both at the same time in August 1958.

What a weird year, up until now, barely any fires north of Williams Lake. Almost all the fires are in the southern interior. Was just at my cabin at Charlotte Lake in the west Chilcotin and we had cool and wet weather for about 10 days. Low fire danger. Things have started to dry out recently but it's really A Tale of Two provinces here. The Northwestern and northern part of the provinces have been quite wet and had high snowpack. Even our lake is quite high this year and there's more snow on the peaks than normal for this time of year. Totally different story in the South Cariboo and of course the southern interior.

Hey everyone, we have family and friends visiting so I haven't been as active on here as usual but I'll still be checking in from time to time. Been doing some sightseeing on Vancouver Island the past week. Spent a couple days in Victoria and then went to Qualicum Beach and explored the West Coast. Went to Tofino and Ucluelet, did some nice hikes, and checked out Long Beach. Back home for now but we are back on the road on Thursday. Heading to Radium Hot Springs and we also have a tour booked in Banff. Hopefully there are no evacuations or highway closures on our route given the horrible wildfire situation. I'm expecting a lot of smoke but it is what it is. At least the smoke in the LM/FV has cleared out.

It's entirely possible. I don't see any strong signals for major heat in the foreseeable future. Still time for that to change though.
