Euro continues to trend north on Monday. Seattle/Tacoma now ground zero. 00z last night had it over Portland.

Does it mean another not-so-fun event like this for us next Monday?

We'll see. If it continues to trend north, we may get a massive snowstorm. Could be a widespread 20-30cm

Update: still heavy snow, only about 3 cms though this morning. Would guess we get about 5 cms before the sun comes out.

Tapering off here, about 1+ cm, + 1.5 deg, everything is white again but the trees, it's been windy and the paved road. A nice surprise when I expected rain or wet snow at best.

I think Chris Doyle mentioned that for East Island the air flow was subsident and therefore very unfavourable for any snow. I would say he was right.
