Still snowing in the Alpine on the island- this is welcome news, considering it was looking like we could have lost a lot of the snow pack a few days ago!

I love the enthusiasm Jr but it's a little early for details. We still have to wait and see if we get a cold shot or if everything slides east. That said, hopefully something happens here as one short winter event just isn't enough.

Re: January 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Wow is it quiet in here. Not much to look at when all you see is the rain train incoming everyday for the next 5 to 7 days.

Day 7 looks interesting per 18z ensembles. Quite the crash; 850mb temps take a nosedive from 2C to -8C.

Re: January 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Yeah, mostly mild and wet. North Shore mountains haven't had a great past week.
Fortunately...we could see snow levels back down to ~900m tomorrow morning into Tuesday.

Re: January 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Local creeks and streams could spill their banks next Saturday as another round of heavy rain will hit the region as snow levels soar.
