Oops, I missed two spots (Spokin Lake east of Williams Lake and Vanderhoof). Places that were half a degree short of -40 were Houston and Clinton. Places that weren't even close to -40 include Fort St. John, Smithers, Williams Lake, Yoho National Park, and Victoria.

It's interesting that there's a station called "108 MILE HOUSE ABEL LAKE" but it's actually on Horse Lake road at 100 Mile.

That place was -43C.

All stations in the Cariboo with data:
CLINTON RCS (at the top of the hill north of Clinton) = -33.3C (massive difference being at the edge of the plateau as opposed to being well on it, similar to the Williams Lake airport)
CLINTON A (private paved airport west and slightly north of the other Clinton station) = -39.5C

Now that brings us to Williams Lake. The airport sits on top of Fox Mountain and bottomed out at -36.4C. You might think that's cold, but anyone further from the Fraser and San Jose-Williams Lake valleys was much, much colder. Spokin Lake is just east of the Williams lake airport, and it was -45.5C

MCLEESE LAKE GRANITE MT that sits on top of a mountain north of Williams Lake (and at 1133m, 100m higher than Spokin lake) was "only" -38.5C.

The Quesnel airport was -41.9C, the coldest temperature recorded in almost 30 years.

CRISS CREEK just north of Kamloops on the Bonaparte Plateau (and the same elevation as the Clinton Airport and Mcleese Lake Granite MT) was -37C.

Also, Clearwater was -35.7C.

Kamloops, Ashcroft, Lillooet, Vernon, and Kelowna were all in the -22 to -23 range. Merritt and Salmon Arm a little colder, and Lytton and Penticton a little warmer.

People in Kelowna like to say that it's the least windy city in Canada. LOL, not even close...
