For thunderstorms around the Lower Mainland, the Fraser Valley usually does the best. More common to see storms out here than in Metro Vancouver. But Metro Vancouver does better during Atmospheric River events than Abbotsford.

We have seen rain and drizzle out here with some developing low level fog. That's something.

Stay positive folks! We may just get a random rumble of thunder yet.
It always snows in December in the Kootenays

Watching two supercells approaching E Washington. The one east of The Dallas OR is interesting. Storm profile shows a possibility of mesocyclone in that complex. The one near Pendleton OR has crazy golfball hail with it.

Kennewick WA is about to see some action. 50k ft cloudtops!

#BCSTORM was trending. Some "forecaster" was predicting tornadic activity for the Lower Mainland today and it caused a stir. The tweet was since removed.

T-Storm chances look really slim tonight. Maybe 1-2 rumbles E Valley but most of the action is going to hit the Southern Interior and SE BC.

This is why people need to refer to official public forecasts from credible sources rather than random tweets. There is nothing wrong with having fun sharing your hobby on social media, but people need to be able to distinguish between forecasts made by experts versus amateurs. I don't mean that in a rude way at all. In fact, I'd consider myself an amateur.
