00z GFS is bone dry thru September 21st.

Shades of 2012? (I think that was the year where the rains didn’t start until well into November; even October was bone-dry.)

I sure hope not. That year sucked for mushrooms.

Yeah September was very dry in 2012 and continued through mid October. However that year we barely received a drop of rain after mid July.

This August was pretty wet so drought conditions aren't high as they were in 2012.

It was the morning of October 12 of that year the floodgates opened. The next week was a lot of rain. There were incredible, life-changing events in my life at that time, so I remember vividly many days in a row at that time.
Looking forward to the outflow event tomorrow. It clears the air.

2002 was another very dry September and especially October. That year it was basically dry until the first week of November.
18z GFS looking very different than previous runs, breaking down the ridge starting before the 20th and quite wet thereafter. Maybe an outlier?

It’s one of the reasons I chose Bellingham over Olympia (the other contender to relocate to). I had been envying the more frequent (and stronger) outflow events found north of the Chuckanut Mountains for years.

According to BC Hydro, power just went out for 1994 customers in Langley.

Could be calm at your place and super windy near a power line that feeds the area. Outflow winds can be very local as far as I understand.

Could also be an outage unrelated to the weather.
