About 25kms E/SE from there my cabin lies..nestled amonst the mountainous terrain, in a slight "summit" area. There has been about 50cms there since around 5am today. Yes thats in only 12 hours. This amount of snow in a usually drier climate is 1/20 1/30 years is my guess. Maybe its a record even. Go LaNina go! What do the young kids say in the snow...I'm Stoked!

Actually I think we did worse. At one point there was much more snow in South Surrey. The rate of melt has been strong here so it has never really gone past 3cm or so. Even though the snow never really stopped, all that sleet didn't help.

Yet oddly enough, while it was -3 and snowing at manning park lodge, it was raining and +4 all afternoon at the ski area, just 12km southwest of the lodge. I simply don't understand how that could happen?? But I think it's true... Never seen anything like it in my life before

Yes the snow level on the south side of the front was ~6000 feet. There was a pretty sharp line between the southern bommy and northern colder temps..like a razor.

It's still snowing here in Langley. Maybe 1-2" on the road and I'm hearing sirens every now and then.

It's over now. Ridging and split flow until March and we should see many troughs until forest fire season.
