Re: December 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Windy and 8ËšC this morning. Will downsloping be enough to get to a Nito-approved 10ËšC? Maybe, but overall setup today is a tad on the chilly side for that. Lots of cold rain yesterday evening.
It's called clown range for a reason.

It’s funny how when we want cold and snow it is hour 384, but when it is the opposite, hour 384 is gospel.

I know but it's just one of the ways we have fun. Keeps us all entertained.
That said, 384 hr maps are usually useless especially during a SSW.

I don’t put much faith in model runs that far out no matter what they say.

Yes, Jr. I was referring specifically to the Nito troll job.

There is a difference between putting faith in them and looking for trends. The latter can be useful.Rubus_Leucodermis wrote: ↑Wed Dec 30, 2020 11:12 am I don’t put much faith in model runs that far out no matter what they say.

His troll job isn't very affective right now.

Re: December 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
Doesn’t look as bad as it could during winter. Light snow and okay visibility. I would rely more on the highway cams on the morning of departure though.

Re: December 2020 Forecasts and Discussions
I'm up at Seymour now. Not snowing surprisingly. It was light sleet when I arrived and now there is no precip which is even more surprising.
Tons of snow on the ground though!

All of a sudden brief but heavy sleet started here.
Now heavy snow.
