January 2010 comes to mind, l think that was so disappointing.

I don’t know. It got pretty cold last year. I’d take that in a heartbeat. In all honesty, I’m usually a snow guy, but it’s been so long since we had a legit cold airmass with clear skies. We’ve had some good snowfalls in recent years but I’d give up some snow for a clear night with -15C.

Oh l'm not complaining with the snowfall outflow and temps. But l recall a week out the models were showing some kinda cold.

Yes there was some ridiculous model goodies last year. Unfortunately there was just never enough blocking into Alaska to deliver us that vodka cold.

Here we go again. Consistency with the GFS. Three cold runs in a row now. Looks like the timing even moves up on the 00Z.
