Not gonna snow is it.

EC issued a snowfall warning, so that is usually the killer.

Ok those mesoscale updates put a damper on my enthusiasm but this is still fun. The anticipation of a potential snow event on the west coast is never not fun on these boards.

Good reflection of the colder MT polar airmass. The biggest achilles heel in these scenarios is the warm onshore component. Probably won't see an drastic warmup tomorrow or Monday.
THINK COLD N SNOW!

C’MON!

In that case you'll probably pee more than it snows.

Even 0.5 cm of accumulating snow is more liquid volume than my bladder can produce surely

Look at that popcorn like development due west. Some atmospheric instability?

Some potential convective activity has been modeled behind the initial front.

It smells like snow outside. Sometimes people wonder what the heck I'm talking about when I say that. Maybe it's because I'm so in tune with the weather but I can smell seasons, if that makes sense. I know most people know what summer rain smells like, etc, but I can smell the most subtle changes in the air. Like, even a cloudy day has a smell but it differs depending on the time of year. Anyway, maybe it's weird? When I say I can smell February, or drizzle or even sunshine in November, people look at me like I'm nuts, including my own family. But it definitely smells like snow outside.

Convective snow/rain/haul/graupel Monday.

This explains why snow maps are all over the place. Models are just useless in these setups.

I think before most snow events the temp ALWAYS warms up and freaks people (who want it) out. Inevitably once precip arrives it will cool things down again and snow will be had by all. Though I don’t feel those south of the Fraser will be writing home about this. And certainly not Tswwassen.
Convectivity is a great sign of possible surprises. All good.
Burnaby Mountain @ 365 m..

Stats? Fresh out of those. But I win anyway. I got all the inches.
