18z navgem held the arctic trough much further west during the middle of next week
North end of Shawnigan Lake. Southern Vancouver island. 500ft

Been thinking about that day. I helped my student go out and make a fairly impressive snowman then went up to Cypress for the powder. Ended up being a guide for this Australian guy who had never really hit any fresh powder in his life and he was absolutely amazed. Putting that aside though, that event underperformed due to the middle of the day timing of it. As well, there was promise in the models for another arctic event, but that never materialized. 5-10 cm of slush.

Your waiting for a sign the arctic blast could last longer than modelled or are you saying you're concerned the model will flip warmer?

Well the first option would be nice. Longevity is kind of an important factor to me. The flip warmer option is inevitably always an option no matter how locked in you might think things are. See January 2020.
