Havent taken a peek at the ECMWF weeklies until today. Looks very wet and seasonal at the end of the month. Signs point towards a wet and chilly april.

Last great weekend to ski coming up.

Yeah. The only member I can remember from the original board with a name starting with “k” is “Kurtal.”

Oh no...not another wet April. Last April was so wet...and then followed by that bone-dry May. Worst of both worlds.

Indeed. Now that we appear to be done with snow until next winter, I hope we have a cool and wet summer.

That would be nice. When would you say was the last one?

Good question. I’m not entirely sure to be honest. I’ve never been good at recalling specific years except for the historic type events (aka Winter 08-09). I think Typing man is the guy to ask!

From what I recall the summer of 2008 was cooler than normal but I haven't looked at the data recently.

I don't remember much about July, but I remember August 2008 was a complete washout. I had a couple good thunderstorms that month, though.

Without looking up the stats I would say the last cool summer was 2011. We didn't even hit 30C until September that year.

I think they may have lived in the same area at the time. Didn't Nito live in Guildford, or was it Fraser Heights? Haven't seen Kurtal in ages, but I know he lived in the Guildford area back in the day.
