And I was just thinking the same thing for the East island. With that persistent instability that's been in the southern Georgia Straight producing isolated flurries,
Add in the outflow and bamm. East island may get a big dump in some spots if the outflow cranks up like models show. Like many years ago where they would get a foot of snow in Nanaimo from an outflow event. Maybe again?

Not nearly as cold though. Heavy snow was falling around -12C in Abbotsford during the 96 blizzard.
