That 12Z NAM is pretty impressive with the north trend. A bit further north and the Lower Mainland will be in on the big snows Saturday.

I'm guessing those ice bombs are just going to be something that motorists will need to deal with going forward, considering they have yet to find a proper solution.

Without a doubt. Models have really struggled in the medium-long range this winter.

Still tracking that progression in the long range. Looks like another block could form. Not worth tracking until 3 days out anyways but I can't help myself.

It really is too bad that Jan 24 "event" busted so hard. If that had turned out and this one did, combined with that December snowfall..this would easily be an above average to good winter for recent times. As it is, everything is now riding on this low. Another dud here and this winter is a hard bust. But the trend is definitely our friend.

Tear the bridge down and build one that actual works and is actually straight rather than curved on the deck like it is. Coming out of Surrey heading onto the bridge on the first curve you think you will be heading straight and then it curves again in an un-natural way to what the physics should be delivering thus causing an accident there countless times. Garbage bridge.

I’ve seen it drop to -8˚C in the Rockies when tulips were in bud. Surprisingly little damage. Most of them bloomed just fine. And I’ve seen daffodils survive -14˚C. Springtime bulb plants are surprisingly tough.

I don't think that ice bombs would be a problem on Saturday if it is cold enough. Need that sticky snow, not champagne snow.
