Ah good to know wasn't sure who was where, l looked at your profile it just said Chilliwack. l think l put south Sardis in mine just to get an idea of which part of Chilliwack.

I've had power fluctuations here as well. Even the internet has been going out for short bursts.
Temp at 8PM
35.8  It's 8PM!!
Hum: 31%

Inside: 28.3
Hum 60%  Gross.

Can't wait until the temps level so I can open the windows and get the humidity out.
I hate this heat. I wish I had AC in the house.

Thanks. It will probably blow again though if the temperature actually hits 46C. I think this is the first time I've ever seen so many power outages around here due to the heat.

New PWS station all time high - Burnaby Mountain, 37.1 today. Beat the 36.1 from July 30, 2009. I'm pretty sure this new record isn't going to last very long...

I think a 50c humidex reading is essentially a lock for some locales in the valley on Monday.

Any ideas what caused the fire and how far away is it from your place?

Weather.com's hourly model has KBLI dropping to 25°C by 10:00 pm. Not so sure about that given the humidity.

It was about a minute drive, 3 long country blocks, from my place, had quite a nice airshow with helicopters, spotter air planes and a water bomber dumping retardant. From what I've heard, it's pretty much out now, ground crews are dealing with what's left, so it can't be much. There are a lot of people living in the forest and that's what people are thinking caused it, no official word yet.

Smoke is starting to clear now too. What a freaking day...
