The smoke on your picture is from a fire in Washington state just south of the border.

29.7 in Roberts Creek, high of 31.2. It's cooling outside but the house temp is still going up, will get the fans going, that will help

The fire just south of the border flared up today.

You can see all the fires have taken off this afternoon with higher temperatures and lower humidity.

That pyro cumulus has disappeared, however there's a thin layer of smoke just east of Mt. Cheam.

I’d imagine there’s a decent chance that smoke will settle into the eastern end of the Fraser valley tonight.

Isn't that the Manning park fire? the one John was referring to? Isn't on our side of the border. And you can see the small pyro culumus cloud l snapped a photo of.

Tons of smoke entrenched in the valleys of southeast BC... gets worse the further west you travel.

The only reprieve was high up the mountains at Kootenay pass (2nd pic) between Creston (1st pic) to the east and Castlegar (3rd pic) to the west.

Continuing to travel west on highway 3 tomorrow and will pass through the West Kootenay, Boundary and Similkameen regions where the smoke is probably even worse in the valleys.
