Brush fire beside Hwy 1 in Abbotsford near Peardonville Rd. Probably started by a homeless person... lots of people like to camp in that area.

Terrible, when l lived in Mission l use to go by Riverside & King the ultimate homeless spot plus the shelter there lots of scary events use to go on around there.
Eventually l stop going that way and took Sumas.

Looks like it's almost time to take down the pool, won't be sweating much and won't be burnt to a crispy bacon sitting in the lawn chair.
It's been quite a run that appears to be winding down temp. wise.
C'mon winter show us the power of your cold and snow this year.

It's gotten worse. I drove by the other day... looks like a garbage dump.

Lots of bad areas in Abby.

Quiet in here tonight, no interesting weather coming up?

Saw a post on Facebook, it's cold enough in the chilcotin that they had to start their wood stove tonight. Crazy after all the heat to so quickly change

Was close to freezing (0.9c ) in Clinton yesterday morning...I'd imagine some other locales in the region were even colder. Got up into the low to mid 20s by afternoon though.

Those are beautiful. No soaker but cool and nice weather to keep the fires and smoke at bay.

I think summer may in fact be over. Hopefully September 2017 doesn't prove me wrong.

It's not over until it's over. That was a hell of a heatwave though, I remember the lows were in the 20's but the smoke capped the highs.

Throw out the pre-1937 years (not at the airport), and you can really see the effects of a warming climate. The vast majority of the warmest years on those lists have all been in the 21st century.
It's called clown range for a reason.
