Yes agreed Hounders area as well north Surrey.Typeing3 wrote: ↑Fri Aug 27, 2021 12:46 am Yep, central Coquitlam (especially the Como lake - Mundy Park corridor) always does well. If I were to guess, the annual snowfall average for that area is likely around 70-80cm. The only other residential/built up areas of Metro Vancouver with higher annual averages are Burnaby Mountain and the upper reaches of Westwood Plateau.

It wouldn't take much of a wobble to inundate New Orleans.
Nice to have members following other weather events other than ours, it's re freshing.

Foggy and 9ËšC this morning. First morning fog of the season. Sure feels like autumn is on its way.
It's called clown range for a reason.

No September heat wave has ever come close to that of 1988...

Re: August 2021 Forecasts And Discussions
September 2017 came close for a day (widespread 34-36c temps in eastern Metro Vancouver and the Fraser Valley) but the thick smoke prevented many records from falling.
Recall a couple extremely anomalous (considering the time of year) high overnight lows during that heatwave though from either Malahat or West Vancouver.
